Saline-Sodium Citrate (SSC) Concentrate can be used in protocols for Southern blotting, in situ hybridization, DNA Microarray or Northern blottings. SSC provides high ionic strength to optimize the rate of probe annealing to the target nucleic acid. SSC is used in hybridization cocktails containing DNA and RNA probes for the analysis of unknown sequences and to locate desired genes and gene fragments. SSC is also used to control stringency for washing steps during in situ hybridization. Packet of salts yields 250mL of 20X SSC buffer. Alternative name: Saline-Sodium Citrate. The BIOARRAY™ Low Input RNA Amplification with Biotin Labeling System provides an optimized protocol and reagents for the production of biotin-labeled antisense RNA (aRNA) from total cellular RNA samples in less than 24 hours for array analysis. This kit has been improved to yield sufficient aRNA quantity for most microarray platforms (10 µg minimum) with total RNA input of as low as 20 ng and up to 500 ng. Entire amplification reaction can be performed in a single tube and the biotin-labeled aRNA can be purified using either magnetic beads or purification columns. The BIOARRAY™ Low Input aRNA Amplification and Biotin Labeling System has been optimized for superior performance with reduced variability and improved reproducibility and data quality. The AMPINEXT™ DNA Size Selection Kit is a complete set of optimized reagents for quick removal of DNA fragments of <150 bps for library preparation in next generation sequencing applications. The kit utilizes magnetic bead technology and is suitable for Illumina, Life Technologies (SOLiD), Ion Torrent, and Roche/454 platforms. It can also be used for removing undesired larger DNA fragments by optimizing the bead to DNA volume ratio accordingly.
