How to Upgrade to a Business Account
If you intend to purchase from our premier scientific marketplace on behalf of your institution, you should ensure that you upgrade to a business account through which you can enjoy account-specific pricing and credit terms, request quotes, and have a dedicated account support team. Don’t worry, the process is simple and fast.
How do I know if I have a business account?
If you are unsure if you have personal account or upgraded to a business account, simply sign in to your account and visit your “Business Accounts” (aka “Address Book”) page available as a link within the My Account menu. If you only have personal account access, the page will indicate this and provide a link to upgrade and add a business account.
Another way to determine if you only have a personal account is to open the My Account menu where you will see an "Upgrade to a Business Account" link. Clicking on either of the links will walk you through the upgrade process right for you.
How do I upgrade to and add a business account to my access?
To connect to your institution’s business account, simply sign in to your fishersci.com account. If you do not have a user/personal account, you will need to do this first. After signing in, use the “Upgrade to a Business Account” in your My Account menu which will then automatically guide you through the process. If you have not verified your email with us before, you may be required to respond to an email verification request before moving forward.
How will I be informed when my Upgrade to a Business Account request is complete?
You will receive a confirmation email from us titled "Your Business Account is Ready."
What if my business or institution is a new customer and does not have any business accounts?
The "Upgrade to a Business Account" process is personalized and will guide you to the Register for a Business Account form. After submitting your request, you will be able to track your new business account request status from the Business Accounts section of your account Profile.
California Businesses: If you are operating in California, please be aware that state regulations require that we gather copies of two forms of identification (e.g. valid driver's license, U.S. or foreign passport, state-issued identification card, military ID, employment identification card).
What if my business or institution is already a customer and has business accounts?
The "Upgrade to a Business Account" process is personalized and will guide you to the "Link to a Business Account" registration which offers account look-up options specific to your organization based on your delivery address. If your address does not appear, complete and submit the form and we will do the rest.
