CD cell-degradable crosslinker is comprised of conjugated peptide along with polyethylene glycol and thiol (SH) groups. The thiol groups form stable thioether bond with thiol-reactive groups of the polymers (Mal-PVA Mal-Dextran SG-PVA and SG-Dextran) and results in a stable hydrogel.The conjugated peptide has matrix metalloprotease (MMP)-cleavage sites (Pro-Leu-Gly-Leu-Trp-Ala) which allows matrix metalloproteases (MMP1 MMP3 MMP7 and MMP9) to locally degrade the polymer network. It allows cells to spread and migrate within the gel if they express the indicated MMPs.

INTRO: 3-D Life, manufactured in Germany by Cellendes GmbH, is an integrated system for generation of hydrogels used in 3D cell culture. 3-D Life represents the most flexible system for biomimetic hydrogel design. DESCRIPTION: 3-D Life CD-Link molecule consists of a polyethylene glycol-peptide conjugate carrying a thiol at each end. When combined with 3-D Life polymers, thiol groups on CD-Link form stable thioether bonds with thiol-reactive groups on the polymers, resulting in gel formation. CD-Link can be used with 3-D Life polymers Mal-PVA, Mal-Dextran, SG-PVA and SG-Dextran. CD-Link contains an MMP-cleavable peptide sequence, which is cleaved by a broad range of MMPs, allowing cells to locally degrade the polymer network if they produce the indicated MMPs. QUANTITY: When used with 3-D Life system up to 2 ml hydrogel can be generated, depending on gel stiffness.

Innovative chamber enhances sensitive laboratory procedures such as PCR* and tissue culture protocols. Unit contains a 254 nm ultraviolet lamp that effectively reduces airborne contaminants. Activating the UV lamp for 15 minutes prior to procedure and 15 minutes after procedure is completed decontaminates all interior surfaces. Chamber is constructed of thick clear acrylic for durability and protection from beta radiation. Front viewing panel is 1/2 inch thick. One piece side and back wall are 3/8 inch thick. Non-ventilated hood contains all electrical components and is easily removed. Access to chamber is provided by two hinged doors that are also removable. Built-in electronic sensor automatically turns off UV light when doors are opened.
