Primary human plasma has been isolated from peripheral blood (PB) using centrifugation. PB was collected using acid-citrate-dextrose solution A (ACDA). Human plasma is the liquid component of blood containing water, salts, lipids, hormones, proteins (including albumin), immunoglobulins, clotting factors, and fibrinogen. It does not contain the cellular components of blood—the erythrocytes and the buffy coat composed of leukocytes and platelets. Plasma, from a single donor, was obtained using Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved consent forms and protocols.Certain products are only available in select territories.
