Using Search

If you know what product you need, enter your search terms in the main search box located at the top of the site. Type-ahead suggestions allow you to quickly filter your results to a manageable list.

1. To start a search, enter a keyword, catalog number, product name, CAS number, or manufacturer part number in the Search box.
2. Click the magnifying glass or hit enter. Search results will be displayed.
3. You can narrow down your results by selecting one of the refinement files from the left hand side of your search results. Filters include category, special offers, special interest and brands. Depending on the product category, other filters may appear such as capacity, material and more.
4. To quickly access and view your item, click the Pricing & Availability button in the search results. This will allow you to add the item to your Cart or My List without leaving the search results page.

We continually strive to enhance the search functionality so that you can find what you are looking for quickly and easily. Recent enhancements include:

• Autocomplete functionality was enhanced with machine learning based on customer inputs
• Improved search of readily available products leveraging Edge program data, allowing for relevant product availability in search
• Faster access to search destinations like chemical structure, certificates, and SDS via the search bar drop down
• Synonym search assist customers’ searches to recall results on synonymous terms (including translations), and prevent no-results
