InTray DM is an enriched dermatophyte medium used in the detection of dermatophytes from clinical specimens. InTray DM is formulated to produce a red color in the presence of growing dermatophytes. The medium is formulated to produce distinctive colony growth with typical identifying characteristics both macro and microscopically. The medium inhibits most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast and saprophytic fungi. | Detects: Trichophyton Mentagrophytes, T. rubrum, T. tonsurans, and Microsporum gypseum. | Time to Result: Incubate inoculated trays for up to 14 days at 18-25C, in the dark. InTray DM-FungID prepared culture media serves as a microbiology sample collection, transport, and culture device. Its enriched selective medium is formulated to produce distinctive colony growth from clinical specimens with mixed microbiota. Engineered to be selective for positive growth of dermatophytes strains all while inhibiting the growth of both gram+ and gram bacteria, yeast and saprophytic fungi. The PT-TD300 instrument measures the tapped and bulk or apparent density of powders, granules and blends according to USP <616>, ASTM B527 and ISO testing standards. Tapped density is achieved by mechanically tapping a measuring cylinder (i.e. raising the cylinder and allowing it to drop a specified distance under its own weight) containing the sample under test. The tapped density in grams per mL can be calculated by dividing the sample weight by the final tapped volume and is reported using the built in printer. The PTTD has both 300 taps per min and 250 taps per minute stations. The 300 tap/min drops at a height of 14 mm whereas the 250 tap/min station drops at 3mm. The weight of the platform and cylinders are compliant as indicated by USP, ASTM and ISO. The unit includes IQ/OQ document package and a 2 Year Warranty.
