The electronic ice bucket, featuring ceramic-coated beads, is ideal for keeping sample tubes clean and dry while incubating at sub-ambient temperatures for long periods of time. The chemical-resistant beads are able to maintain a constant temperature and support the sample tubes for as long as necessary. They can be autoclaved at 273°F (134°C). To save time, the bucket of beads can be incubated in the refrigerator overnight and inserted into the unit before use. A temperature control ensures all contents in the ice bucket are kept at an even temperature, whether cold or warm. The current temperature of the unit can be viewed on a five-digit orange LED display in either °C or °F.
