- The kit does not require fully competent cells prior to transformation
- Simply remove a 3–4mm colony or 0.5ml overnight culture to a new tube, add vector and carrier DNA, incubate for 30 minutes, and plate on selective media.
- It is ideal for cases where a large number of transformations must be performed, but only a few transformants are needed
