Compound 48/80 is an oligomeric mixture of condensation products of N-methyl-p-methoxyphenethylamine and formaldehyde. It activates G proteins by a mechanism analogous to that of mastoparan. It inhibits calmodulin and human platelet PLC and exhibits a concentration dependent biphasic modulation of human platelet PLA2. Solubility: Soluble in water (100mg/ml). Long Term Storage: -20°C.
