ATCC ATCC Breast Cancer Cell Panel
The ATCC Breast Cancer Cell Panel is a comprehensive set of breast cancer cell lines derived from ATCC master seed stocks to eliminate variability. Each panel features a compact disc containing signed certificates of analysis and product sheets for each individual cell line. Note: Given the breadth of this panel’s diversity, the standard warranty for ATCC 30-4500K is extended to 60 days from the date of shipment. ATCC ATCC-DYS0530 hiPSC; Parkinsons(s)
ATCC-DYS0530 Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) were derived from adult dermal fibroblasts obtained from a deceased 63-year-old donor who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease (as well as asthma and depression; same donor as ACS-1012, ACS-1014). The fibroblasts were reprogrammed by the expression of OCT4, SOX2, KLF4 and MYC gene sequences using retroviral transduction. This cell line provides a unique model system for better understanding the molecular pathology associated with Parkinson's disease. The availability of ACS-1012, ACS-1013, and ACS-1014 provide a set of iPSCs that allow a side-by-side comparison of various reprogramming methods (episomal plasmid, retrovirus and Sendai virus) on iPSC performance. ATCC ATCC MTT Cell Proliferation Assay
Measurement of cell viability and proliferation forms the basis for numerous in vitro assays of a cell population’s response to external factors. The reduction of tetrazolium salts is now widely accepted as a reliable way to examine cell proliferation. The yellow tetrazolium MTT (3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazolyl-2)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) is reduced by metabolically active cells, in part by the action of dehydrogenase enzymes, to generate reducing equivalents such as NADH and NADPH. The resulting intracellular purple formazan can be solubilized and quantified by spectrophotometric means. The MTT Cell Proliferation Assay measures the cell proliferation rate and conversely, when metabolic events lead to apoptosis or necrosis, the reduction in cell viability. The number of assay steps has been minimized as much as possible to expedite sample processing. The MTT Reagent yields low background absorbance values in the absence of cells. ATCC ATCC's L-Glutamine, 200 mM, 100X
L-Glutamine 200 mM Solution (29.23 mg/mL). L-Glutamine is an essential amino acid required by virtually all mammalian and insect cells grown in culture. L-Glutamine is also more labile in cell culture solutions than other amino acids. The rate and extent of L-glutamine degradation are related to storage temperatures, age of the product, and pH. All cell culture media are formulated to contain appropriate amounts of L-glutamine to support cell growth well beyond the expiration date of the media. However, if L-glutamine is suspected to be a limiting factor during cell culture, a simple test of ‘spiking’ the medium with a small amount of L-glutamine will determine whether or not more is required. Simply add a small amount of L-glutamine (~ 2 mM final concentration) to the culture medium. If the cell growth rate increases, L-glutamine is most likely deficient and more should be added. It has applications for cell culture, cell growth, and viability.
ATCC Human parainfluenza; virus 3; Strain: ATCC-2011-5
Human parainfluenza virus 3 strain ATCC-2011-5 is propagated in LLC-MK2 Derivative cells (ATCC CCL-7.1). This virus was isolated in 2011 from a clinical sample from a patient positive for PIV 3 in Virginia. It has applications in respiratory disease research.

These normal neural progenitor cells are derived from ATCC-BYS0112 Human [Non-Hispanic Caucasian Male] Induced Pluripotent Stem (IPS) Cells (ATCC ACS-1026) and can be used in neuronal differentiation and drug screening.
