Stirring Heating Mantles
Stirring Heating Mantles
By using a magnetic stirrer to keep materials moving during heating, stirring heating mantles evenly heat fluids while limiting the risk of glassware shattering. Designed to fit a variation of flask and funnel sizes and shapes, stirring heating mantles are often used in place of hot plates, heating baths and Bunsen burners. They are often used for Kjeldahl or other extractions. Stirring heating mantles are available in rigid or flexible construction and in single flask and multi-flask configurations. Typically, multi-flask stirring heating mantles will have separate controls for each recess, allowing for variation in stirring speeds and increased user control.
