TI-Nspire CX Handheld

As teaching and learning tools, the handhelds deliver extraordinary performance in the classroom, lab and field with features that enable students to:

The TI-Nspire CX handheld is approved for use on the SAT, ACT, AP Chemistry and AP Physics exams as well as many state tests.

TI-Nspire CX CAS Handheld

Powerful visualization accelerates student understanding of critical concepts that bridge disciplinary boundaries such as cause-and-effect; scale, proportion and density; and structure and function.

The TI-Nspire™ CX CAS handhelds enable students to explore the world around them through the same practices real-life scientists use, such as modeling; planning and executing experiments; collecting, analyzing and interpreting data; and engaging in evidence-based discourse.

TI-Nspire Software

Delivering the same functionality as TI-Nspire handhelds, this software enables educators to present concepts; create, save and transfer interactive simulations; and write self-check questions for student self-assessment with TI-Nspire software.

The teacher version of software includes numeric and computer algebra system (CAS) functionality for maximum flexibility; the student version is available in numeric or CAS configuration.

Both teacher and student versions are available for Mac and PC platforms.

Nspire student software is included in individual TI-Nspire CX Retail clamshell packages.

TI-Nspire CX Navigator Systems

Take formative assessment to the next level with the TI-Nspire™ CX Navigator™ System, which provides instant visibility into student understanding and encourages evidence-based classroom discourse. The system, which wirelessly connects TI-Nspire handhelds and software in the classroom, enables educators to create and distribute three types of questions:

• Chemistry questions that require answers entered as formulas, predicted reaction products or predicted yield
• Expression questions that require answers in numbers or expressions
• Image question type that requires to students either to enter labels on an image or use radio buttons/check boxes for multiple-choice questions about an image

The system also provides a valuable platform for classroom discussion that challenges students to construct viable arguments, critique the reasoning of others and evaluate the merit and the validity of claims, methods and designs.

Single-sensor Data Collection

The TI-Nspire family of handhelds works seamlessly with the Vernier EasyLink™ USB interface to make data collection fun, faster, more accurate and more intuitive to users. The Vernier EasyLink USB sensor interface supports more than 40 standard Vernier Software and Technology data collection sensors.

As soon as a sensor is plugged in, students can start to quickly and easily collect and analyze a wider variety of data such as pH, light, pressure and more. The TI-Nspire family of graphing calculators automatically detects the USB EasyLink sensor and launches the Vernier DataQuest app to begin data collection.

TI-Nspire Lab Cradle: Multi-sensor Data Collection

The TI-Nspire™ Lab Cradle supports simultaneous input from up to three analog and two digital data sensors — including high-sample-rate hardware — for expanded data collection capability in the lab or field.

Conduct a wider range of labs with the option to use one sensor at a time or multiple sensors simultaneously for on-site or in-the-field data collection. This integrated solution can help maximize class time, so there are more opportunities for lively, engaging classroom inquiry and discussion.
