Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Sulfo-LC-SPDP is a water-soluble, long-chain crosslinker for amine-to-sulfhydryl conjugation via NHS-ester and pyridyldithiol reactive groups that form cleavable (reducible) disulfide bonds with cysteines.

Highlights:

  • Forms cleavable disulfide bonds with sulfhydryls
  • Releases a detectable byproduct after reacting with free sulfhydryl groups; by measuring the release of pyridine-2-thione at 343nm, the reaction progression can be monitored
  • Reactive groups: sulfo-NHS ester and pyridyldisulfide
  • Reactive toward: amino and sulfhydryl groups
