- Neurotip test uses calibrated spring mechanism to force of 40g to assess reduced sensation to sharpness/pain in small nerve fibers
- Monofilament test exerts force of 10g to assess protective touch/pressure sensation in large nerve fibers
- Monofilaments are replaceable
Peripheral neuropathy cannot be excluded without regular foot screening in conjunction with symptomatic and clinical assessments
