It has a strong absorption at 770nm, high fluorescence at 794nm (extinction coefficient 2.7 x10&superscript_begin;5&superscript_end;cm&superscript_begin;-1&superscript_end;M&superscript_begin;-1&superscript_end;) and high quantum yield.
