Description
AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MFPTSQVRRG DFTEDTTPNR PVYTTSQVGG LITHVLWEIV EMRKELCNGN SDCMNNDDAL AENNLKLPEI QRNDGCYQTG YNQEICLLKI SSGLLEYHSY LEYMKNNLKD NKKDKARVLQ RDTETLIHIF NQEVKDLHKI VLPTPISNAL LTDKLESQKE WLRTKTIQFI LKSLEEFLKV TLRSTRQT. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IL-6. Anti-Murine IL-6-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Murine IL-6 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine IL-6 (500-P56) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine IL-6. Western Blot: To detect Murine IL-6 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Murine IL-6 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P56BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg
IL-6 is a gene that encodes a cytokine that plays a role in inflammation and the maturation of B cells. The protein produced by this gene is an endogenous pyrogen that can induce fever in people with autoimmune diseases or infections. The gene is primarily expressed at sites of acute and chronic inflammation, where it is secreted into the serum and induces a transcriptional inflammatory response through interleukin 6 receptor, alpha. The functioning of this gene is implicated in a wide variety of inflammation-associated disease states, including suspectibility to diabetes mellitus and systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. Elevated levels of the encoded protein have been found in virus infections, including COVID-19 (disease caused by SARS-CoV-2). Diseases associated with IL6 include Kaposi Sarcoma and Rheumatoid Arthritis, Systemic Juvenile.Specifications
