Detect changes in mitochondrial membrane with TMRE (Perchlorate) dye. TMRE uses a quick and simple staining protocol that is well suited for high-throughput screening and is compatible with flow cytometry. This cell-permeable, cationic compound enables the distinction between polarized and depolarized cells. TMRE readily accumulates in mitochondria with the high mitochondrial membrane potential and emits a fluorescent red-orange signal with an emission of 574 nm.
